Nothing open in Kansas at the moment

We hold no open solicitations for Kansas right now. That is a real answer rather than a loading failure: the feed was read, and nothing in it for Kansas has a deadline still ahead. Postings arrive daily, and the trades we cover are listed below — work outside them never enters the feed at all.

Two things worth doing meanwhile: search the open bid feed — federal work is open to bidders from any state — and get your SAM.gov registration sorted with the free checker below, because that is what takes the weeks.

Kansasaward history →

278,012 federal contract awards for work performed in Kansas are on file, measured August 21, 2026. The contractors below hold the largest totals among them. Before you spend a fortnight on a proposal, it is worth knowing whether the incumbent is a two-truck outfit or a company with a decade on the contract — and whether your better move is bidding against them or subcontracting to them.

How to read a Kansas bid list

The list above is inventory, not opportunity. Most of it is not for you, and the fastest contractors in Kansas are the ones who work out which rows to ignore in the first thirty seconds rather than the first week.

Start with the closing date. A solicitation you have only just found that closes inside two weeks usually belongs to whoever has been tracking it since the pre-solicitation notice — worth chasing only when the work is small, repetitive, and priced on rates you already have. Then read the set-aside. A contract reserved for 8(a), HUBZone, WOSB or SDVOSB firms is closed to you unless you hold that certification, and there is no proposal quality that fixes it; this is still one of the most common ways a perfectly capable bidder is thrown out on a technicality. Then look for a mandatory site visit, because it is a date rather than a document, and missing it disqualifies you on the jobs where it applies.

What survives those three cuts deserves the statement of work read properly — not the title, which is often written for a filing system rather than a bidder. Find the bonding and insurance requirements before you price anything: a bid bond you cannot obtain ends the conversation whatever your number is. And check who holds the work today, which is what the award history on this site is for.

None of it matters if you are not registered. A federal award needs an active SAM.gov registration with a Unique Entity ID, and Kansas state and local buyers have their own registration on top of that. Both are free, both take longer than you expect, and both are worth finishing before the solicitation you want appears rather than after.

Where this list comes from

Source.
Federal solicitations published on SAM.gov, and state solicitations from the Texas Electronic State Business Daily. Both are public records, read directly from the issuing portal. We are not reselling another vendor's feed, and each row opens the solicitation's own page here, which carries the source's link back to the original posting wherever the source published one — so you can check what we say against it.
What counts as open.
A solicitation is listed here while it is marked open AND its response deadline is still ahead. Source systems rarely flip a posting's status when it closes, so the deadline is what we go on — which is why nothing on this page has already expired.
Scope.
This is not every government bid in Kansas. Both of our sources are filtered on the way in to the trades this site covers — construction and janitorial work, 20 six-digit NAICS codes between them — so a solicitation outside those codes never enters the feed and cannot appear below. What a page shows is capped as well: the rows are the soonest-closing of what we hold, with any others in the open feed. Treat it as a floor under the market rather than a measure of it.
Deadlines.
Each deadline is shown in the time zone the issuing portal publishes it in — Central for the Texas ESBD, the place-of-performance zone for a SAM.gov notice. Where we cannot establish the zone we show the date with no time rather than a time that might be wrong by hours.
Missing values.
Where a posting records no buyer, no NAICS code or no estimated value, the cell is left empty rather than filled in. A blank here means the source did not say.

Kansas government bids — common questions

Is the Kansas bid list free?
Yes. Nothing on it sits behind a form. Each row carries its deadline, its buying agency and its solicitation number and opens the solicitation's own page here — no account to make, no form in the way and no download to request. The page is capped rather than gated: where we hold anything for it, it shows the rows closing soonest, and any others are in the open feed, which is free to search too. The deep workup on an individual solicitation — what disqualifies bidders, what bonding is required, what the set-aside means for you — is the part we charge for, and it is published for specialty-trade construction and janitorial and facilities services. A solicitation outside those industries still gets its public record here (title, buyer, deadline, solicitation number and a link to the original posting) with no workup attached and nothing to buy.
What kind of Kansas contracts are on this list?
This is not every government bid in Kansas. Both of our sources are filtered on the way in to the trades this site covers — construction and janitorial work, 20 six-digit NAICS codes between them — so a solicitation outside those codes never enters the feed and cannot appear below. What a page shows is capped as well: the rows are the soonest-closing of what we hold, with any others in the open feed. Treat it as a floor under the market rather than a measure of it.
Who currently wins government work in Kansas?
Across the federal contract awards on file for work performed in Kansas, ORACLE HEALTH GOVERNMENT SERVICES, INC. holds the largest total — 60 awards. That is a ranking of the records we hold rather than of every contractor in the state, and it is worth reading before you bid: the incumbent on a recompete is who you are actually competing with, and on a large job they are often who you should be calling about subcontracting instead.
Do I have to be based in Kansas to bid?
No. Federal solicitations are open to any business with an active SAM.gov registration wherever it is headquartered, and the state shown here is the place of performance — where the work happens. Being local genuinely helps on mobilization cost and on site visits, and some state and local solicitations do apply residency or local preference, but the federal ones on this list do not.
What do I need before I can bid on these?
An active SAM.gov registration with a Unique Entity ID is the baseline for anything federal, it is free, and it takes longer than most contractors expect — start it before you find a bid you want. Then check the set-aside on the solicitation itself: if it is reserved for 8(a), HUBZone, WOSB or SDVOSB firms and you are not certified, no proposal will change that. Our free checkers cover both in a couple of minutes.

Be told when new work lands

Sam emails you a welcome note now and a free digest of the new solicitations that land each week. It is not narrowed to Kansas: where we know your trade you get that trade's new postings, and otherwise a capped cross-trade digest — so this page stays the place to check Kansas on its own.

We email you bid alerts — that's it. No spam, no selling your address. Unsubscribe anytime. Privacy Policy.

Nothing here is behind the form

Each row above shows its deadline, its buying agency and its solicitation number, and opens the solicitation's own page here — which carries the link back to the government's posting wherever the source published one. There is no download to request and nothing withheld for an address. The page is capped rather than gated: it lists the rows closing soonest, and any others we hold are in the open feed, which is free to search as well. The email is for the next ones, not for these.
