Capability Statement Generator

Agencies and primes ask for a one-page capability statement before they'll consider you — and most small contractors don't have one. Fill in the form and Sam builds a clean, government-style one-pager you can print or save as a PDF in minutes. No login, no design software.

Sam, your guide

What is a capability statement?

A capability statement is the one-page “business card” of government contracting. When a contracting officer or a prime contractor is sizing you up for an opportunity, this is the document they ask for: a tight, scannable summary of what you do, who you've done it for, and how to reach you. There's no single mandated format, but buyers expect the same handful of sections — and they expect it to fit on one page. This tool lays out those sections for you; everything on the page is your own information.

Company header
Your legal name, a one-line description of what you do, and your federal identifiers — UEI and CAGE — so a contracting officer can find you in SAM.gov instantly.
Core competencies
A short, scannable list of the services you actually deliver. Keep it to the work you'd want a contract for — this is the first thing buyers read.
Differentiators
Why you over the next bidder: certifications, response times, niche expertise, equipment, or track record. Be specific and provable.
Past performance
Recent, relevant contracts — agency or client, scope, and year. This is what turns a brochure into a credible bid. List only work you can substantiate.
Codes & set-asides
Your NAICS codes and any certifications (Small Business, 8(a), HUBZone, WOSB, SDVOSB) so buyers can match you to set-aside opportunities.
Contact
Name, phone, email, website, and address. The whole point of the page is to get the call — make it effortless to reach you.

This generator only formats the details you enter — it never invents company information, certifications, or past performance. List only set-asides you actually hold and contracts you can substantiate; contracting officers verify references.

Build your capability statement

Type in the left column and watch your one-pager build on the right. Everything stays in your browser — nothing is submitted until you ask to see matching bids. When it looks right, hit Print / Save as PDF.
