Sam's plain-English summary
This is a government solicitation for janitorial services in Salt Lake City. The deadline is June 30, 2026 at 7:00 PM ET—this is not an unusually tight timeline, giving you several months to prepare. This is a 'Sources Sought' notice, which means the government is gathering information about available vendors before issuing the actual contract bid; you're not submitting a formal bid yet, but rather expressing interest. No specific bonding or insurance requirements are mentioned in the notice itself, though janitorial contracts typically require general liability insurance and sometimes bonding—you'll need to check the full solicitation details. Common disqualifiers for government contracts include: failing to meet specific certifications (such as small-business status if required), not having required insurance or bonding in place, missing the deadline, incomplete or non-responsive submissions, and false statements in your application. The government will also disqualify bidders with past performance issues or debarment.
This bid is reserved — Small Business set-aside
Reserved for small businesses — only firms under the SBA size standard for this work can bid; large companies are excluded.
If you meet that requirement, this could be a fit if: You are a janitorial or cleaning services company (or a general contractor with janitorial divisions) currently operating in or able to service the Salt Lake City area. You have general liability insurance, verifiable experience with commercial or government facility cleaning, and can meet the service standards for consolidated facility contracts.
