Sam's plain-English summary
This is a solicitation from a regional U.S. government acquisitions office for HVAC replacement work at a facility in Salt Lake City (SLC ARSR). The deadline for submitting your bid is July 11, 2026 at 7:00 PM UTC—this is not an unusually tight deadline, giving you several months to prepare. The solicitation does not specify bonding or insurance requirements in the basic information provided, so you'll need to review the full details linked in the notice to confirm what's needed (government contracts typically require performance bonds and liability insurance for this type of work). Bids commonly get rejected for: failing to meet technical specifications, missing required documentation or certifications, submitting after the deadline, providing incomplete pricing, or not meeting the contractor qualifications the government specifies. You should carefully review the full solicitation document to understand all requirements before bidding.
This bid is reserved — Small Business set-aside
Reserved for small businesses — only firms under the SBA size standard for this work can bid; large companies are excluded.
If you meet that requirement, this could be a fit if: You are an HVAC contractor licensed in Utah with experience on commercial or institutional heating/cooling system replacement projects. Your company has the capacity to handle a government contract (which involves compliance and documentation requirements), can obtain any required performance bonds and insurance if needed, and can meet the specific technical and timeline requirements listed in the full solicitation.
